I would like to welcome back to the club Shaun Grice. Having followed him from the youth ranks in BHTFC to the 1st team and even to Worthing, i think hes a great asset to the club that we was missing last season , and hope he does well for the 2006/2007 season ;D

If this is true then this is great news. If you read my previous postings you'll see what I think of Shaun. He often looks the laziest player on the park but if you actually follow what he does you'll be a fan.

Yep. We haven't really had much strength since Ben Andrews, Ashley Carr and Daren Newman. Downey and Day both had a bit but we needed more. We definately need it. I think the fear often is that players of his stature get booked easily, sometimes just because they LOOK like they are fouling! If you look at nearly every club we played last season, they all had at least one aggressive player of the Grice/Andrews/Newman type and that's what often set them apart from us. I wouldn't mind us signing another robust player, either at centre back or centre forward, it'd really aid the skillful, fast youngsters we are fielding that, all credit to them, can't hold a ball up against stronger teams and aren't expected to in their respective roles.

That's really great news, lots of aggression and bite in the midfield.ER!!! excuse me isn't the idea of all this bite and snap to feed the flair players like ? & ?. Who else have we signed or hopefully re-signed. We (England) have just returned from a World Cup competition where we were shown to have zilch, zipp in the technical department, we have been managed by a football moron possibly with a hidden agenda to wind up the nation whose biggest talent appears to be in the bedroom and yet already we are banging on about crunchers. HELP !!! show me to the knitting classes.

This looks like a good start, lets hope the wings are not forgotten.
Do we have a squad list yet?

One of the best young players to come through the ranks in recent years, missed last year but what a crazy season.Let us hope for a better start this coming season as last seasons start was the first time I have seen play confined to the entire central 20 metres of the pitch.Presumably that was known as "closing them down".Who is the leading candidate to play in goal, always been one of Burgess Hill's strong points.

Hear the tea hut is under new management, it's been taken over by a woman called Sal. Miss monella has wide experience in catering and provides an eating experience thats hard to forget.

In the past we have had some fast wingers with a good cross, but have played in a style that precludes them from ever getting the ball. We might as well play with 9 men if the play stays down the middle for the whole game. I'd like to see us get in some pacey wingers that actually get the ball passed to them!

It's good getting these new players in but we still need a striker who can put the goals away

2 forwards, a big chunky player who can hold the ball up and a pacey attacker to convert the shot. I think finding the strong player who can take the ball down and hold it would be the harder thing to come by, not someone with speed and a decent shot.
