Its my obligation to announce the demise of the barmy army after years of loyal support it expired today. The end was peaceful and quiet it did not suffer at the end.
Membership of a new society is growing fast.
Victor Meldrews moaning army was offically unvielded during todays game. A number of new songs are being reviewed and will break forth in the near future.

I must stress the moaning was not about the football but about life in general. We defintely need some younger supporters to take over from the barmy army.

As the youngest member of the Barmy Army I agree that most of the Army are turning into clothcap wearing "When I was young" moaners.
We did have some kids at one point, but they have disappeared, come on people, join the Barmy Army!

Well if you sing 1970's songs most of the barmy army will be cloth caps!!!!!What we need is a good season with something to sing about and do we have a volunteer to be choir leader?

It can't be Smurf as he always has a bacon roll in his mouth, Pete can never finish a song and Sponge just moans about everything all the time! (He did give us Marina though)

At work if someone asks the question they usually get the exciting opportunity to answer it so does that mean that deeudon77 will be writing some new songs and whipping us into shape?

I don't know about the whipping part and I'm afraid I am not in the Elton John class for composing but I am more than happy to inject some much needed voice to a new batch of "ditties".Perhaps some of our local talent of composers could help us out.Maybe a bit premature to employ Queen" to play "We are the Champions"At the moment it's:-We're not the Fairfield,We're Not the Cuckfield,We're the famous Burgess Hill, how sad is that!!!!!!

(He did give us Marina though) Ive always wondered what the heck Marina has to do with BHTFC? There are a load of songs out there however, most cant be sung @ matches as there a bit below the belt. And as for my Bacon rolls, (just spilt brown sauce down me) i had 3 the other week and loads of (just for the record)

As a non-singing supporter (too busy harassing refs) it is usually the highlight of the game when the barmy army sing Marina. I hold my head up high in pride that we have the most inexplicable song in the league. I want to hear plenty more of it.
