Good result after Saturday but GC still cpncerned about the pace we're coming up against. Apparantly Tuck marshalled the defence well but ironically it was a rare mistake by him that led to their equaliser. Tough game coming up on Sat against Billy Smiths Tooting but we do seem to be their bogey side.

First few minutes a casuals shot was pushed over by Andre and it looked like a walk over again.
Within a couple of minutes we realised it was time to play, the team settled down to play some good football at times, we had a few shots (some even on target). Owen hill was put through by Gricey, Owen ran at the defender and was being shepherded out to the edge of the 6 yard box when for some unknown reason the defender pushed Owen in the back and we got the penalty. Gricey tried his hardest to get the ball through the back of the net, it was down the middle but luckily for the goalie he went to the side, he would have been in hospital.
Mid-field looked in control for a lot of the half and the defence with Tuck organising the rest look pretty solid. Upfront still did not get good service but overall we had some chances.
In the second half it looked like we would keep the lead but after the hour was up some of the team looked knackered and casuals fitness, youth and pace started to get them opportunities not allowed earlier. Tuck was unfortunate he tackled a casual and came away with the ball, heavy pass up the left side which went straight to one of their players near the halfway line, the player just ran at us, round one player, hit a high pass which was missed by a jumping central defender, down to a casual and it was in the back of the net. Somehow we part recovered our composure and kept in the match though by now they were well on top of us, though we did have a good chance when Joyce cracked a shot low and the goalie went down to stop the shot.
There was some good individual performances and some good teamwork, we did press them when they had the ball and did some good work on the ground at times.
1-1 was a reasonable result and after Saturday must count as a victory. And now 18th in the league.
