If we want to do more than just hang on in this league we probably need right and left back,centre half,left midfield, and a striker to, as someone said, push the others. Yeah, we don't have enough players to put the starting XI under pressure, most players are assured a starting place as we don't have any other players playing for that position |

Sorry Dan disagree,some players are selected irrespective of form granted but some after playing well are dropped. That's what being a manager is all about eh?  ??. Oh! and what starting eleven would that be? By my reckoning 5 positions are certain starters irrespective of form 1 of which is a must play for political reasons,the others are a lottery. |

What I'm saying is that the players that are in the first team are only there because we have no other players to select for that position. A the moment we have Tom Edmonds, Paul Hinshelwood and Glen Matten in the defence, what other players have we got to put them under pressure? Up front we have Kevin Budge and Ashley Jarvis, the only player who has enough quality to put these 2 under pressure is Dan Turner who is in the reserve team, we need at least one more striker to put those 2 under pressure for a starting place otherwise they will think they will get picked however they play

And what i'm saying is that we don't have fair competition for places. OK we have as you say TE,PH & GM in the defence,alternatives,CL,KJ,NW,NF and MP, "hows that for choices"?. Agreed upfront we are a bit thin on the ground but your suggestion DT is the only other player with any quality,"what are you on"?. And then we come to midfield,right side hopeless,left side at the moment down to JB, hopeless not ready at this level and LG who can play there but is out of position and the centre,not working at the moment,which is why we are struggling to play badly IMHO,but then what do I know.
