Would that be because he's a good player? I imagine that would rule him out of Gary's plans! That was just a flippant comment....I do apologise if anyone disagrees!

Last year Luke was my player of the year just pipping another couple of deserved players. This year i have been disappointed with him. He has worked hard but his first touch and passing have been very poor.
If Luke has gone it's a shame because he's the sort of player who will run his socks off and can turn a game. If he got his form back he would be a potent player.
Good luck Luke and thanks for the exciting work you did last year.

I agree with most of what you said, he is the kind of player that can turn a lack lustre team performance around. It's not always the case but I feel he has suffered from lack of service from the rest of the team, and also being played in a bad position.

Sorry Dan you are seriously mis-informed. Luke was called into the supporters cabin after training as usual to collect his money and was told by GC "that's your last one,you are not in my plans, top earners out first (which I don't think he was btw),blah blah blah, I'm sure you'll find something else". Not even a thank you.Luke was speechless to say the least, but in some inane way GC tried to justify his actions by saying ,"you won't be the only one".
Luke is really disappointed, anyone who knows Luke knows he would never refuse to play for the reserves,he was totally committed to BHTFC and ran his socks off every game he played trying to win. He would like to thank the supporters and members of staff for their friendship and support whilst at the club. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Question: Why do some people in football think they can s**t on players and then lie and slag them off in the local rag to boot.

Luke has been by far one of the best midfielders we have had at BHTFC for a while, he can create chances out of nothing and has the experience needed at this level, our squad is getting younger and younger and I think it's going to backfire on the club badly, a little bit of Youth is good but not 11 players. Good luck for the future Luke, wherever that may be. (as long as it isn't with Hassocks!)

Man management isn't one of GC's strong points. If it's any consolation many i spoke to voted Luke as their player of the year but it would seem that the 'awards'. had already been decided. Luke is a good player and very modest, unlike many in Sussex. All the best for the future.

Gary never ceases to amaze me. There was no need to treat Luke like this. He was one of my favourite players during his time here and seemed to be a player that would give his all even when the odds were stacked against him (the rest of the team not supplying a good ball or the formation being totally bizarre). I never have been a fan of Gary Croydon's and this is another in a long line of stupid things he is alledged to have said/done.
On a lighter note, I'd like to add my best wishes to Luke. There may have been 1 man at BHTFC that didn't care about him, but there were a lot of regular supporters who did and were grateful for his efforts. Even if he goes to Hassocks I still wish him all the best, as long as he promises to play really badly for them on purpose!
