Only a few players turned up.
Joyce was really good all the way through, Jarvis worked hard and deserved better, Mark Pullen worked hard and tried to come forward.
The subs Turner, Hall-Pike and Matten did not have time to make any impact though all three livened up the team.
We started as a 4-5-1 but they just walked through us at times. To be fair the score flattered them, we did have chances, and for some reason the defence looked like a number of individuals rather than the tight unit we have come to expect. Lloyd was on the bench carrying an injury from mid-week.
The only good thing was that this happened at Cray and they are football fans and were no crowing at the end.

Oh Yeah, Lloyd Skinner looked really good, good passing, neat foot work, prepared to take on players, etc.

Yeah, this defeat came after a great run of results and was hopefully just a blip on our good recent record. Let's hope the lads don't get too downhearted.

Changing the subject, see that Harps has gone to Welling FC. Interesting move - they're challenging at the top of Conf South (unlike Thurrock)
