Everyone seen the newspaper report of the Robins buying more land from the garden centre to build 2 more pitches and changing rooms?
They are really going for it - I have to admit feeling a bit envious of the work they have done. Its good to see ANY local football club making progress (even Hassocks!)
I've seen the new building and bar (bit atmosphere-less at the moment). Very good. The tea-bar is inside but has an outside window as well which is a good idea.
I suppose the up side from our point of view is if they get promotion we end up playing them again.

Yes,a club that seems to do things the right way. My son plays for their youth & third teams so i spend a fair bit of time there and must say that the Hassocks people are very friendly and down to earth with no BBB's. Although they will have very good facilities in the future,i think they are limited in how far they can progress with the smallish local population. Makes you relise how restricted we are on our pokey little site.

I would say the only local place they are likely to be able to poach supporters from is Burgess Hill (not over my dead body!). It could be interesting. If they ever progressed to a higher league than us (God forbid) then it'd be interesting to see if anyone deferred to Hassocks. I'd like to hope that it would take a mammoth progression in the league (to perhaps the conference) before Burgess Hill locals started to favour Hassocks football club over us, but you can never tell.
