Rise and Shine. ITS MATCH DAY.
We are off to Ashford United in Mid Kent for our latest South East away adventure. Homelands Stadium TN26 1NJ 3pm ko
Ashford enjoyed a strong start in the league especially at home where they remained unbeaten until 10th Dec when our old friends Vcd turned them over.
Two festive away losses at Lancing and Sheppy (remember those 😉) have further dented their automatic promotion push.
However they firmly remain in play off discussion so will be looking for a convincing home win today to cement their position.
This isn't going to be easy but Ashford have shown frailties of late.
Last weeks clean sheet at Bridges was very encouraging and hopefully we can go back to back.
If we keep the back door shut and I think that's key then we could just take this one nil. ( it's about time one of our center backs scored!)
One nil Josh Spinks anyone ??!!
Any way Jack and Gary are with me to include lunch in Faversham and Mrs Bowman will be in house.
Good luck to all connections as we strive to go 4 for 6 in 2023.
See u there

Frustrating we lose three two with the last kick. In Jay we trust of course. But this club should be at least in promotion play off discussions by now and not in the relegation play off discussion!
We have a very good squad of players assembled and a robust home and away support. Plus we have a brilliant General Manager, back room staff and volunteer unit.
From now on in its not about performance. It's all about getting major points on the board.
I was really enthused about the Bridges clean sheet and the away point. But it was a totally different story today.
We need a run of clean sheets starting at Jubilee on Saturday if we are to progress.
Let's Go Hill. Promotion Play offs are, just about, in range.

Ps. Now safely back in mid sussex after a very long day on the road. Thanks to Jan Jack and Gary for an interesting day
