Today in the bar heard some arrogant quips, wondered if anyone else heard anything.
After seeing their bar Iwas surprised to hear "there going to open the bar later so we don't have to drink in this shed".
"I think they are going to play on the main pitch in the second half, that's only the training pitch".

I generally found Dover supporters to be an arrogant bunch of losers. They might have their fancy pants ground left over from the days when they played in the conference, but their supporters need to remember their team isn't in the conference any more and that when they visit other grounds they need to be a little more mature about the status of their team.
I always hate supporters that are more interested in upsetting the losing supporters than celebrating their team's victory. Dover were a better side than BHTFC, despite us playing very determined football, and Dover to an extent deserved to come away from the game with something, but the goal they scored was very lucky and the supporters should have been greatful for their lucky 3 points rather than just have a pop at the club they beat.
Perhaps Dover fans need to grow up a little bit and research what non-league football is about. I very rarely come away from a game feeling like we hosted a bunch of shaved monkeys, and I certainly prefer to refrain from commenting about it on here. We unfortunately will have to play them twice again next year.

some of them tried it on with us as the second half started but we didn't go down to their level, seemed as if 3 of them were more interested in what we were doing rather than the game itself. Hope they don't go up so we can give it large next season ;D

A team with such negative supporters won't go anywhere. Same applies to a team with cross eyed strikers.

I was sat next to what I think may have been their chairman. Some choice phrases, obviously said deliberately loud enough to be overheard :
"This is a one man and a dog place" "The managers wife does most of the work" "Can't believe we aren't beating this bunch of losers"
There was much more along these lines. Must be hard for someone with such big ideas to be stuck in a club like that going nowhere. Don't now why he bothered, he obviously wasn't enjoying it.
Up the Hill !

Was he the grey haired bloke that moaned for nearly 90 minutes about the ref booking the wrong player? I mistakenly said to him "the ref isn't going to change his mind now" and got a lecture from him for not letting him voice his opinion. The guy was a complete retard. He had a pop at one of our ball boys and danced up and down the stand like a child when Dover scored. His knowledge of football left a lot to be desired. Also their Number 4 (chapman?) seemed to have Tourette's disorder. If I ever need to travel to France I shant be going via Dover, I might lose IQ points.

I could only stay for the first half (work calling!) but all i could hear was "bad karma" from some of the Dover folk. Most of the fans were fine, but there was a really unpleasant bunch behind the goal and as r.w.e has said the bloke in the stand was coming out with some stuff I havent heard for months.
The whole club gives the impression of anger and resentment at being where they are - and taking it out on everyone else! Like it or lump they are in the Ryman 1 and they wont get out of it like that.
Gutted to lose like that - hope that some of the more gifted Dover fans realise how lucky they were.

Gifted Dover fans being the ones who don't drag their knuckles on the ground.

RWE - yes - the grey haired guy in the black coat and his posse of sycophantic old women behind that were laughing (screeching) at his every comment (though suspect their knowledge of the game was no less than his). Sort of guy who thinks he is "living the dream" ("I own a football club, me") but instead needs a reality check.
The no. 4 had a real go at the ballboy at one stage - and called him a c*** which I thought was a bit unnecessary.
Still - look on the bright side - very good chance we'll get to have another go at them next year !

I think the ball boy must've said or done something to the number 4, but the abuse that poured out of the number 4's mouth was totally unneccasary. It wasn't the only time I heard him shouting and balling violent filth. Perhaps his expertise mainly lies in football rather than the English language.

Obviously it's something to do with teams in Kent. We had trouble at the reverse fixture with Dover with them mouthing us off after the final whistle, we had trouble at Ramsgate and last season we had problems with some Bromley fans at Leylands Park.
Also to add, on Saturday, it was the first time since 10th January where we havn't scored a goal in a game

Well what did I start when I opened this can of worms.
I have to fair to some of their supporters at the start of the game we had some good banter with them, but by the looks of it this was the exception.
Lets remember when your that good it must be frustrating to have to lower yourselves to visit us lower clubs. But the problems theirs, play good football, score goals and get promoted that the answer and they must remember its not our fault they play in Rymans 1.
Normally their travelling fan numbers are low, lets hope next year they go back to the norm.

I agree with you, Dover are a good side, and I've heard they have a very good setup. I also believe they are unlucky to be in a league so low, possibly due to the restructuring of the league effectively dealing them a double relegation? What I objected to was the fact that they had to belittle us and be so unsporting. But correct, let's look forward to playing some proper football teams in the closing matches of the season.
(I still think Jim Parmenter is a t0sser and I will never be swayed!)
