Hi there! My name is Nick, im one of the DJ's at Bright 106.4 in Burgess Hill. Hopefully some of you know about us? Anyway im new to this site, so i hope im welcome! I do the sport show on a saturday, and I support the Hillians as much as possible on the show. Bright and BHTFC have been working together recently with some good ideas. Now I do as many live scores/results as I can but the lowest league I get live updates from is the conference south (Lewes)! I would really like to make the hillians a core focus of the show, and I would like to do some live updates. So basically im wondering if any of you guys have a few secs to spare at matches, would you be able to update me? Could be after a goal is scored, or just half and full time updates. This would sound great, and it would sound good for the club. So if anyone is interested then let me know and we can sort something out. Thanks for your time Nick Osborne p.s. I used to go to school and play football with Neil Watts and Danny Turner. How are they getting on?

First of all you are very welcome here!
Neil Watts is doing well. Has played some great games this season and I believe he is improving. Certainly was a key player at the start of the season when most of the team were strangers.
I'd be willing to drop a couple of texts through during a game if you like? Mentioning the yellows on Bright FM is great publicity and it'd be great to build on that. I attend about 95% of the home games, but unfortunately don't travel to away games.
Let me know if you would like me to text through half time and full time scores and scorers.
Keep up the good work!

It's always good to keep local people up to date with the club and hopefully they'll here the updated scores and think about coming down for the next home game.
There isn't many of us that travel to away games but there are around 5 or 6 of us that go by car or train but usually it is driving. If you do your sports show on a Saturday if so we haven't got a Saturday away game until the 1st April which I cannot go to as I'm away that day then the next one isn't until the Barmy Army day out at the last game of the season. I'm sure there will be quite a few of us that would love to keep Bright FM updated with our scores.

I am also able to provide information on the referee which will not be suitable for a local radio station!

Thanks for your comments lads! It's nice to hear that you are keen to help out. I agree, live scores will create more interest in the club and the Hillians are really our local side if we're honest! Would like to come along and see the Hillians for myself. I'm a massive football fan, but I work the worst hours! So if I can't come to Leylands Park then at least you guys can keep me bang up to date! Private message me with your mobile numbers if you are interested and i'll give you a call or something!
Cheers!
Nick

I imagine most of you already know this, but if you trawl through teletext page 399 (BBC1 or 2) for long enough after around 5.45 (it takes a while to filter through) you can USUALLY pick up the BHTFC result. I have tried this in Croydon and picked it up, so I imagine you can do this in most places in the South East. Of course, if you have internet access you can probably get the score a lot quicker!

Yes, you are right but the ironic thing is that with digital television this facility is no longer there! You only get it with analogue telly! Progress.......like getting rid of Concorde.

Can't you whack the digibox/skybox off and look at it through the terrestrial version of BBC1/BBC2? I have to be honest, I haven't bothered to try that on mine....but it might work!
Perhaps we need a text or email mailing list of scores and scorers! We would be the most technologically advanced team in the Ryman league!
