If the ryman league site is to be believed, and why should we doubt them! We went down 5-1 tonight. Anyone part of the 55 strong crowd?

We appear to have become as bad as we were good a few weeks ago, what is going on? Anyone at the game who might post some sort of match report, however depressing it may be.

Unfortunately I was there.
For the first 10 minutes it was good to watch, everyone running around, good accurate passing, looking to get the ball to the man.
Then we scored the result of some good football. This was going to be a good night.
I don't know who but someone hit the self destruct button. Passes were going to walton players, every 50-50 ball was going their way, we resorted to long balls with Ashley isolated he did not have a chance.
Mid-field were non-existent they walked through us at will and got back possesion with ease when we were not actually giving it to them.
Defence was having a nightmare the dependable defence we've come to expect was missing. Soutar started and was taken off at about 25 minutes, a scapgoat, it got no better as it was a collective problem.
Towards the middle of the second half we got in a second shot, and actually started to play some football in patches and put some pressure on them. Death came on at about 60 minutes in and tried to get the ball by going back into mid-field. We did have a couple of chances one with Herve diving for a header at about a metre from the ground managed to get it over from 2 yards out.
The only person I felt sorry for was John Sullivan whose back with us till the end of the season. A couple of good saves were blocked well but it was Walton who got to them first and of course scored.
Can't blame the weather it was the same for both teams and the pitch was in reasonable condition with virtually no standing water.
Ref, well even I can't blame him, or the lino's. Not the best but he did not change the game by his decisions.

Same midfield trouble as Saturday then, the opposition walking straight through it?
It looks as if after Saturdays game we are missing what Shaun Grice gave us when he was with us, the grit, determination and experience in the middle of the park

I like Shaun and have done since his youth days. However, I believe that the players we have now can do it. This is evidenced that since Shaun left we have put in a couple of good performances, won 1 and were unlucky in a couple.
Shaun would make a difference because he gets so involved when required and makes time for the others. I want to see a fit Fogden playing to see what he's capable of.

We should be safe now so the only game that really matters is at Horsham on easter monday. The way we're going it could be embarrasing.

Hopefully we'll stop this rot of defeats by picking up at least a point on Saturday at Leatherhead where I expect there to be a small BH support once again as we cannot go as we are all busy!

Thanks for the report T.O.M
I'm afraid it only confirms what I have been thinking for some time now. To be brutally frank our defence only ever looks capable when DS is in it,our fullbacks too often just lump hopeless and usually overhit passes forward only to be defending them again after 2-3 touches by the opposition. The midfield huff and puff but to absolutely no avail, we don't have an effective ballwinner, albeit I think LD has been the only one in there trying to do the right thing and also equally importantly we don't have a clever passer in there either.
I don't wish to offend anybody and so will name no-one,but to be brutally honest 3-4 of the team are simply not up to the standard required at this level. You would hope this has been noted by the right people and will be remedied for next season. Regrettably I don't think it will, in fact to the contrary it appears the powers to be actually highly rate some of these lads. I have a feeling that the forthcoming close season is going to be quite interesting to say the least.
