Patches of good play gave us a 3-3 draw last night.
Although we were often second best at times, and naive again at times 3-3 was not far away from a good result.
First goal was a free header, the scorer was under no pressure. Two goals were give aways, one player in the box was never pressured by the 3 or 4 hill players around him and managed to get a shot in behind the diving Sullivan. The last was the runner going straight through us without any pressure and again a good shot beat the helpless Sullivan.
Sullivan was instumental in keeping the score down, he made some excellent saves tonight.
The best bits of our football came when we had the ball on the ground and people were running off the ball and making space.
A sensational goal from Matten, taking a free kick about 40 yards out with power the ball dipped under the bar. This will be high in my goal of the season competition.
Considering this is the same team that we faced recently, and disgraced ourselves, our mid-field stood up well for most of the time. It looks like Lloyd may be back at the end of the season. Then we can see how Leo, Lloyd and Elkins work togeather in the cntre of the field.
The strategy for the rest of the season looks like being giving away an early goal and then battling until the final whistle.
Came away last night thinking we have a footballing future. Saw width, pace, movement off the ball, accurate passing and effort.

We were lucky but the team didn't give up. Was a bit nerve wrecking towards the end after we scored out 3rd but we held out thanks to a fine one on one save from John Sullivan and once again, Phil Greatwich had a good game
