they were a top side and had already played 2 games this season. We had 4 experienced players and the rest were kids! We will be fine!!

they were a top side and had already played 2 games this season. We had 4 experienced players and the rest were kids! We will be fine!! Yes we had a lot of youngsters/triallists playing but some of the missing players are youngsters themselves. Even at our relatively lowly position in the pyramid you need older and physically stronger players and this is what we've been missing. Our big problem this season will be scoring goals,we haven't got anyone who can score 15-20 a season. I think we will finish higher than last season but won't be anywhere near the top 7 or 8 sides. Wealdstone are hardly a top side anymore playing at only 1 level above us having just escaped relegation last season and have had plenty of problems themselves during their nomadic existence. I agree about the songs,they really are becoming tiresome and tedious. The only ones i know are from the seventies and would'nt be allowed ! |

Oh Dear,I know its only a friendly but it looks like another long and frustrating season. The goalkeeper looked useful early on but wasn't helped by a woeful display from the rest of the team.Ok there were pockets of useful play but again a lot of "huffing and puffing" without any worthwhile end result.As one supporter remarked,"Even the Burgess Hill songs and chants are becoming boring".Does anyone have any good alternatives?,A free beer for any good ones used.
