As an old Hillian, I just wanted to chuck a quick note to say...Fair play, at the beggining of the season I think a good number of people would have written off Hillians this season, even tipped them for a drop... Gaz and Jim have done an incredible job and I think there will be a lot of people who will be feeling pretty stupid right now-I will confess I thought it would be a real tough season for Hillians...it may still be...but there is no doubt whatsoever, to date your league position does not lie and it is clearly down to a lot of hard work, wheeling and dealing and I for one take my hat off to you. Good luck for the remainder...

Just goes to show what a poor league Ryman South is Ok from what i have seen so far this season, its not a poor league , its a piss poor league. If BHTFC had the same squad which they had in the last season of Sussex County League, i reckon they would piss the league.

I totally agree with you Smurf. The squad we had when we went up to the Doctor Martens 3 or 4 years ago (Ben Andrews, Des Guile etc) would be topping this league untouched! It does show up the standard of this league to be playing with the worst squad I have ever seen at Leylands park and be in the top half.
Whilst I wasn't a fan of the Dover chairman's comments when we last played them, he was proved right about the standard of teams in this league.
Having not many games to base this next comment on (apologies if anyone feels it is in accurate), I feel like if we wanted it more we could be second or third, not because we are any good, but because everyone in this league seems to be beatable this year.
