One comment I would like to make though - although it was great to see the numbers up with several new younger supporters watching, the behaviour of a couple I found a bit OTT in terms of language. Not been used to this at Hill - yes I know you always get the occassional f-word or similar (mostly on the pitch) but there were a couple of potty-mouths (and I think it was only a couple - as usual) that let the rest down with their constant expletives. I hope we don't hear to much of this - I had to spend the trip home explaining some new words to my eight year old.
Am I being too soft ??

great result and a much better performance from the hill, although we havent played at all well this season and we are out the 2 main cup compatitions our league posistion of 5th i beleive is fantastic! the main reason we looked more solid yesterday was the mid feild, felt for the first time this season our mid feild bossed the game, with turners wattsy and joe byes pace and energy and griceys hard tackling and leadership in there i thought it worked very well! up the hill!

The performance yesterday was 1000% better than the performance last Saturday at Waltham Abbey in the Trophy. We did some good moves but we seem to give the ball away too easily but I think thats down to inexperience at this level from the youngsters. 2 weeks off now, hopefully this break won't backfire on us but it gives the squad some time to get fit and push further up the table.

I agree re: the 2 silly little boys trying to impress everyone with their amazing vocabulary. We could do without silly chavs down at the football that don't actually come to games to watch football. Hopefully we won't see them again or they will calm down a bit when they realise no one thinks they are funny.

At last we see the mid-field again, what a difference this makes. Thats twice AFC and now Croydon.
With the defence still strong and attack looking like we can score we look like a team again. Agree with some of the other bits and pieces, Andre had another good game. Possesion being given away too easily.
Back to the positive, well I went away for the weekend after the match, lots of movement when we had the ball, trying to get the ball forward, ball on the ground and looking to pass. The young boys brought some pace and eagerness that helped close down Croydon and provided support for attack.
Squad was Andre, Foggy, Tom, Joycey, Cotton, Watts, Gricey, Turner, Jordon- Hall (subbed by Budge), Ashley (subbed by the new boy), Bye.
Looking forward to the met non-police match they are not scoring but also not conceeding. This will be a game where patience will be rewarded.
Lastly, I have to mention the ref and one of the lino's, they had a great game. The ref talked to the players made it clear he was in control and only gave cards that were needed. He was let down by the Croydon kid who so obviously went out to go through the player with his studs up he left the ref with no choice than to send him off.
In summary, good day out, saw a good game when we showed what we can do.
