First time we've got a result there. Just 2 defeats in the first 11 games is quite impressive considering our displays so far in cup comps. But the real test will come when we play some of the better teams like Fleet, Dulwich, Dover and Leatherhead. Congrats to the last two for getting in the FA Cup first round draw. Dover have a tough replay at Conf south Bishops Stortford to overcome for a first round home tie against Kings Lynn. Leatherhead had a good win at Sudbury snd are away to Torquay. Not a money spinner but should be a good day out for them.

The defence including Andre kept us in the game for the first half, mid-field missed the bus and turned up in the second half.
For once Gary made the same substutions as I would have done. Turner off at halftime as he had lost the plot and was going to be sent off anyway, this is now known as a Wattsy.
As above the difference the changes made at halftime made for a better match, we started to put pressure on them and towards the end I was worried that we would over commit and get caught. With Budge on up front this meant the mid-field was back to the normal names and the difference showed from the second half whistle. The met number 8 was controlling the game in the first half but he faded as our midfield marked him out of the game and pressure him everttime he got the ball.
Must go now as I need my tea before the Fleet game, see you yellows in a couple of hours.
3 great second half saves from Andre will have put up his market price as if a scout had been there they would have sent back the right message to Sheffield. 3rd best save was a really hard shot low to the farside of the goal, Andre got down and pushed the ball wide. 2nd best save was from a dodgy free kick on the edge of the area, the ball was kicked hard through the wall and somehow Andre managed to get down and across to palm the ball wide, must have seen this very late. The best for me was late-on a real classy move by the ex-crawley striker saw him through on goal, Andre was quickly out to the 6 yard box and diving at feet to stop the shot.
