The game was ok, we played more as a team than Tuesday but we need someone else up front to finish the chances we create. Lloyds goal was deflected but it was one of those games that there would only be 1 goal in it. Players were happy with the win and lets hope we can take on this form to beat Worthing on Tuesday night

Big problem to day was the mid-field, they tried their best but Bye, Keenan, Watts and Hill are all light weights (Size) they have no height and not good at getting the tackle in.
Disappointed that Gary, after his last couple of good halftime reshapings, let it go on too long before making the substitutions. Matten for Joyce (reason unknown) and Turner for Hill (not having a good game, even his sponsor had to admit that). I would have had matten at the back and pushed Lloyd in to the midfield and Turner on with Bye and Keenan off at halftime, they both looked tired from the start.
Ref was appalling let so much go in Hastings favour that it became embarrassing at times. He spoke to so many of them so often that he would have failed any assessment. Typical example big lad upfront body checks Foggy, the ball runs to Joyce who has his legs taken from behind by the same player who then ignored the ref and stood about a yard from the ball and when he blocked the ball we were told to take it again; I saw three offences in under 2 minutes and no action form the ref.
Three points which we made hard work of getting, this is not just my yellow glasses, we were better than Hastings on the day.
