Good Morning Alliance!
It's MATCH DAY !
Penultimate 2022 23 Road Trip and Points Needed. Cray Valley Papermills 3pm ko
There is no sign of a pitch inspection required as these notes are being typed. However that pitch will be quite damp and there is 'drizzle' forecast for the remainder of the day. If your heading north wrap up well as its going to be a grey chilly and rather dank experience. Completely different to last seasons match. (I won't be there today)
Cray will be 100% targeting three points today to keep their play off discussions in order. They are currently on the line in 5th place and despite a loss against the Hawks last week are in fine form. Scoring goals is not a problem! On 7th March they ventured to the More Than and took out a three nil win. Then on 11th they beat play off rivals Ashford 5 1. They then thrashed the hapless Heath at Hanbury three one.
Both Adeyemo (striker) and Coombes (midfield) are in superb nic in front of goal. The former with an explosive hat trick v the nuts and bolts.
We put in a top notch shift against the Chats last week but got done by a piece of bad luck which befits our 'delicate' position in the league. We are bang in trouble and Georges midweek post said it all. 'We are in the shit'
Today we are fighting against a team bang in form, gravity and the fickle finger of lady luck which again will probably favour our opponents. To that end I really can't see a positive outcome today. 😕
Good luck to all connections and let's hope for that season defining and miraculous away victory.
Cobo
Relegation watch (Fav and Corinthian doomed!)
Heath at home to Sheppy
VCD at Sittingbourne (pitch inspection required)

Well ultimately we ended as the April fools as Cray took out a flattering three one victory.
By all accounts we played well but luck and early loss of Hillian concentration gave Cray the perfect start. After not dealing with a 5 min corner the ball came back in and the hapless Spinks deflects the ball past Huffer.
A dream start for the hosts. Contest over on 45 when they get a 2nd.
The Hit Man gave hope but Cray were just to strong and ran out ready winners.
It's all looking a bit furlone at the bottom and we are increasingly looking like relegation play off contenders.
Easter is coming with 2 home games.
There's life !!!
