Morning Alliance and welcome to MATCH DAY. The last of our regular 2022 23 fixtures again Beckenham Town. Slide rules and algebra will be needed across as many outcomes of the Isthmian South East are still possible.
The one overriding fact is BHTFC win and the season is done!
Becks travel to Mid Sussex having put together a sensational Isthmian debut season with a string of wins that has put them comfortably in the play off zone. That includes a last kick victory against us at their place. They come off the back of a two nil win against Faversham last week.
But their play off spot is not assured by any means as hythe are still sniffing around just three points back on the same goal difference. A loss today and it could go horribly wrong for them. I am confident that becks will approach today as a must win scenario as they will see this a massive opportunity to go to the Prem (the promised land) in one hit. If they don't they will be fighting against that dreaded 2nd season syndrome.
THEY ARE GOING TO BE AT THEIR BEST AND DANGEROUS!
Oh and don't forget they have that Greek player up top who is 2nd in the goal charts ! He will be a handful!.
How about the Hill I hear u ask?
Well we go into the game on the back of a dog turd performance at the Brickies on Tuesday. A game that represented a huge opportunity against a team that is on the beach. Us Alliance and a rabbit were fantastic but the team were just rubbish. A cricket score ensued.
Play like that today and we are screwed.
But we are at home and that should count in our favour and we are fighting for our Isthmian lives. That should count for something.
We have just got to win !
If we don't there are a myriade of other results that could see us safe or slip into one of those play offs. The heath and vcd are both snapping at our heels.
The weather looks OK for what looks to be one of those huge afternoons around Leylands Park.
