This could be interesting this year, as the player of the season vote approaches. Usually by this stage of the season there have been 2 or 3 outstanding players to choose from. This year I think I will find it a lot harder to pick. A lot of the great players have played less than 1/4 of the season.
Usually my vote is consistent with the player picked by the BHTFC staff rather than the supporters.
Last year I voted for Neil Watts and I am considering doing the same again this year. He has done a very solid job in what I would call the "Adie Downey/Leo Day" role, which usually goes unnoticed by the fans. Matt Piper is also up there for me, but hasn't really played in enough games. Despite his occassional clumsiness, I think Sean Grice has also been key for us this season, not from making outstanding performances, but just from his imposing presence. I really wouldn't be surprised to see him win player of the season for BHTFC because I think he is one of the fans' favourites.
I agree Lloyd Cotton has done well, and has been one of my favourite players since I saw him make his home debut. He was a very keen lively player right from the off and it's good to see him picked week in week out now. I don't think this season has been one of his better ones, but he is a quality player that has put in a lot of great performances for the club.
